We are proud to have the legendary underground musician & selector J.J. Whitefield aka Karl Hector!
J.J. Whitefield will play deepest, funkiest and most psychedelic tunes, from Africa & beyond.

When still in high-school Whitefield founded the retro funk band POETS OF RHYTHM, recereating the raw funk of the early 70s. That directly inspired the Dapking’s deep retro soul sound of Amy Winehouse’s ‘Back to Black’. Ever since pushing his musical horizons, J.J. Whitefield has been releasing influential albums on Madlib Invazion, Ninja Tune, Mo‘Wax, Daptone, Stones Throw, Now-Again and Strut and Jazzman, including albums with Ebo Taylor and the Zamrock group WITCH.

Once again we start this edition with a LISTENING SESSION IN THE DARK hosted by J.J. Whitefield

Listening in the dark is a fantastic, deep experience, which we wholeheartedly invite you to. J.J. Whitefield will play for you some of his most spellbinding records that he has dug up through the years of intense music collecting.
