WORM turns 25!
We prepared a lovely party with old an new friends from around the world and from other worlds,
to celebrate 25 years of experimental curiosity, inspiring irrigating and irritating the city.
We’ll have fallen angels, vampires, queens of the night – – This is your call to come as you are!
We’re celebrating life and fluidical transformations together with Kexin Hao, Sado Opera, Juliana X and WORM’s analog film lab!
Kexin Hao will introduce us to Chinese folklore and the art of rice pounding. “Forceful Catering” is a choreographic and musical performance growing out of the East/Southeast Asian tradition of preparing sticky rice cakes (mochi). During the performance, the rice pounding utensils will transform into instruments, bringing out a clubbing experience and after, a catering service to the audience. The "Forceful Catering" is created by Kexin Hao in collaboration with 10_r3n and Marie Komatsu.
Sado Opera
Inspired by Parliament Funkadelic, Prince and Liberace, SADO OPERA hail from St. Petersburg. Now based in Berlin, this queer collective has become one of the city’s most provocative andeccentric music imports.
Juliana X
Fusing the historic echoes of Chicago house with the rhythmic grooves of Detroit Techno, Juliana X is more than a DJ. She’s a passionate advocate for diversity and inclusivity in the house music scene, evident in her empowering DJ sets and her role in co-organizing the club project Zuperstition.
