Phonoteque is not just a club, it’s an institution. The Montevideo based venue nurtured the modern “Uruguayan sound” years before the rest of the world caught onto it. The proponents of this style are the kind that dig tirelessly across genres for old and new weapons to play. Most Phonoteque related artists favour a heady blend of techno, electro and tech house. For this special night the co-founder and current the engine behind Phonotheque Christian Bonanata will showcase the distinct sound of Uruguay. He will be joined by Michelle, whose futuristic acid techno populates the record bags of many a lauded DJ. During this night she will play a lot of these high demand tracks live.
