Cello from West to East
Dit concert biedt een artistieke reis van westerse celloklassiekers met oosterse elementen, door cellist Sheng-Chiun Lin. Beginnend met een wandelende kunstervaring ontworpen door Chun-Yao Lin, kan het publiek zich onderdompelen in een boeiende cellosolo met tijdloze klassiekers en opnieuw vormgegeven werken. De samensmelting van muziek en beweging wordt verder versterkt door hedendaagse danser JaeEun Jung, die een betoverend element aan de voorstelling toevoegt. Deze unieke en meeslepende ontmoeting in Plein Theater overbrugt de verbinding tussen Oost en West, waardoor het publiek door eeuwen aan kunst kan wandelen.

Nieuwe Noten Amsterdam biedt podium aan hedendaagse kamermuziek. Avontuurlijke en kleinschalige uitvoeringen, nieuwe composities en toonaangevende musici; in Plein Theater krijg je maandelijks de kans om nieuwe muziek in intieme sfeer te ervaren. De curatoren en artistiek leiders van Nieuwe Noten Amsterdam zijn componiste Aspasia Nasopoulou en basklarinettiste Fie Schouten.
Nieuwe Noten Amsterdam in Plein Theater viert dit seizoen een vijfjarig jubileum! Om dit te vieren hebben we een speciale actie en kunnen studenten én professionele musici en componisten aankomend seizoen voor slechts €10 naar elk Nieuwe Noten concert in Plein Theater!

The event offers an artistic journey of Western cello classics with Eastern inspiration, featuring cellist Sheng-Chiun Lin. Beginning with a walking art experience designed by Chun-Yao Lin, the audience can immerse themselves in a captivating cello solo that includes timeless classics and reimagined works. The fusion of music and movement is further enhanced by contemporary dancer JaeEun Jung, who adds an enchanting element to the performance. This unique and immersive encounter at Plein Theater bridges the connection between East and West, allowing audiences to walk through centuries of art.

Nieuwe Noten Amsterdam devotedly offers a platform for contemporary chamber music. Adventurous and small-scale performances, new compositions and leading musicians; in Plein Theater you get the opportunity to experience new music in an intimate atmosphere every month. The curators and artistic directors of Nieuwe Noten Amsterdam are composer Aspasia Nasopoulou and bass clarinetist Fie Schouten.
