We are a community based event, driven by a passion and connection to Bass Freak-wincy and Breakbeat Culture. MASSIEF strives to provide a platform for Artists, Deejays and Creatives to explore their sound and make their own contribution to Breakbeat and Underground Bass Music culture. Over the past couple of years, our concept has been hosted on Echobox.radio and a string of venues around Amsterdam, most notably; Noordspace, De Hintergarten, Bar Dancing Multipla, and OT301, where MASSIEF has showcased a range of local and international artists who encompass Bass and Breakbeat Culture in their own unique way.

Irish DJ and producer Tamen (Naarm/Melbourne) headlines MASSIEF, bringing a dynamic selection that has seen him shell dancefloors from Berlin to London, major European festivals like Outlook and Sun & Bass, and Keep Hush in Eora/Sydney. Known for his lethal, high-energy DJ sets and razor-sharp sound design, Tamen has built an impressive catalog alongside long-time collaborator Pugilist and POD, putting out releases on top-tier imprints including Samurai Music, Rupture, 3024, Trule, Dext, Repertoire, Straight Up Breakbeat, Echo Chamber, Basics, and Ruff Kutz. With heavyweight support from the likes of Mantra, Om Unit, and Tim Reaper—and a string of upcoming vinyl releases on Modern Hypnosis, Ruff Kutz, and Samurai—expect an uncompromising journey through sub-heavy breaks, jungle, and unreleased dubs.
