The energetic punk band Upchuck from Atlanta is finally coming to Groningen after playing Best Kept Secret and touring with Amyl & The Sniffers!
Some bands break through overnight, while others build up slowly until everything falls into place. For Upchuck, that moment came when a shopping cart was thrown through the pit during a show. The legendary image of singer Kaila Thompson (KT) with blood covering her face became the iconic album cover of their debut Sense Yourself (2022).
In October 2023, they released their second album, Bite the Hand That Feeds, produced by none other than Ty Segall. With tracks like Freaky and Crashing, the band blends social themes with an unpolished punk sound.
