WORM 25: We play Hide & Seek after-dinner !

We end our celebration month with a midweek full of ways to play in- and outside, make new friends and discover all WORM’s spaces through a fingerlicking art-and-music program.
Tonight we play hide-and-seek, tomorrow we dress up and come as we are!
Filmwerkplaats, our analogue film lab, presents an experimental 360 degree analogue projector screening.
The Taiwanese Walking Grass Agriculture collective holds an exhibition in our gallery.
For their first time as a duo, Marion Cousin and Eloïse Decazes perform the vernacular repertoire of the songs of Tras-O-Montes, north-east of Portugal.
More performative musicians will climb the stage or hide backstage.
Play games in the Pirate Bay.
Our Wunderbar proudly presents a brand new Window Expo featuring the works of Nina Neczliova, saddy and Agata Sznurkowska. The Radio WORM community will also take over, ensuring an unforgettable time on the dance floor!
CONCERT 1
Marion Cousin, a ‘collector’ and activist of traditional songs from the Iberian Peninsula, work, ploughing or gathering songs, medieval songs, epic love stories, various dramas, taken from Mallorca, Menorca, Extremadura and so on…
She is joined by musician Eloïse Decazes (Arlt) in an experimental and magnetic adventure for two voices, a face-to-face table, Mirandese songs of work, celebration or exasperation are here to be experienced and laughed at.
For about 15 years, each with their idiosyncratic expressions and temperaments, and through different incarnations and collaborations they’ve been sustaining a relentless and wild resolution to experiment with a distinctive alloy of traditional and experimental music practices. Those flavors will always function in simultaneity rather than opposition in their works.
For their first time as a duo, Marion Cousin and Eloïse Decazes perform the vernacular repertoire of the songs of Tras-O-Montes, north-east of Portugal. The resulting offering is an amorous, raw, heretical take on this material, a sprig of work and celebration chants, songs of exasperation uttered with their two voices, so far away and so close from each other in a plastic regional idiom, Mirandese – semi-phonetically and playfully appropriated here. Their voices scale up mutinously, wildly, sketching melodies and dancing boldly in and out of tune, in an euphorically deranged environment, a flood of ungainly noises: machines, lethargic drumboxes, nano-brutalist synths, unnerving guitar sketches, bursts of laughter. Abundantly vivid. Staggeringly wonderful.
CONCERT 2
Cold in Church is a dream-pop band and performance collective based in Amsterdam. The collective is composed of artists Charlott Weise, Cécile Tafanelli, Giovanni Giaretta, Helena Sanders, Faysal Mroueh, Jacob Dwyer, and Daniel Vorthuys.
