Nucleus Sessions in Amsterdam is based out of Overtoom 301 Cinema, where we offer a monthly, two-day weekend workshop that is designed to build on your professional creative talent and sharpen your skills. Each month a master in their field will visit Amsterdam and instruct you over two days.

Ben Cogan Audition Masterclass Weekend Workshop September 28TH/29TH 2024...
Ben Cogan is a casting director with 24 years of experience casting award winning dramas for both television and film. He is inspired and impassioned by working with actors on behalf of production for the enjoyment of audiences.
The role of the casting director places them into the heart of a dramatic creation. Through working with writers and producers, they are equipped to join forces with directors and introduce actors to the shoes of a character. Ben describes casting as, 'a beautiful and blessed role in a collaborative process'.
After 15 years casting for BBC Continuing Drama, Ben set up BeCo.Me in 2015.
Ben works with and for actors. Whether it is in an audition, workshop, drama school or a one-to-one tutorial: preparing the actor to perform to their best ability is his ultimate responsibility. He is very proud to have a respected reputation for being a Casting Director who supports, guides, assists and encourages actors to fly.
Ben's Audition Technique Masterclass specialises in audition technique, dissecting scripts and helping actors find characters and make bold and defining choices. Every audition presents an opportunity for the actor to seize and embrace.
An audition is not solely about landing the role – it is a precious opportunity for the actor to showcase themselves to a casting director, director and producer. If an inspired, focused and confident audition doesn’t get the well-prepared actor ‘the job’ … it will definitely get them another audition and enhance their reputation within a well-populated and fiercely competitive ocean of other options.
Actors will be sent three short scenes one week before the course to learn.
