For the release of Citruks’ debut EP “Dier” on the Brussels-based record label Kontakt we’re inviting everyone for a chaotic & zingy night of dutch waves and noises

Disruptive songs with an art pop, art rock feel. Intuitively stitching and deconstructing their writing, Citruks layers subtle messaging in Dutch mother tongue over a mix of sparse electronics, bass guitar, and percussion. The music carries verve, with some eighties post-punk influence and a touch of smartlap. Emotion first, meaning second, with lyrics drawn from the streets or even what you’ve read, plus a bit of randomness and a bit of ease. Both serious and humorous, whatever Citruks means remains hypersuggestive or needn’t make sense at all, shifting with each person, each experience.
Guenter Ralėr

Guenter Råler is a producer, DJ and multimedia artist based in Rotterdam.

Their productions explore post-digital aesthetic and experimental club music, where the connection between human and mechanical processes converge into an emotional deconstruction. The sonic world aim to dissect rhythmic patterns, creating an amorphous, majestic and unstable sound flow. From trance-y high pitched synths to a hibernated rave euphoria, weightless disassembled sounds fill a hypersaturated soundscape.

Hommybird

Hommybird’s music dives headfirst into the kaleidoscopic psyche of its creator – vocalist and DJ Melle Homminga.

“I come here to clear my mind” declares Homminga on ‘Hoofd in de Wolken’. The philosophy students’ tracks function as nostalgic snapshots, or rather as collages of late-night DM’s, voice memos and memories of a post-club sunrise.

In his first album ‘’Onder Een Kleine Ster’’, Melle draws influence from shoegaze, early 2000’s trance and pensive art pop like Everything But The Girl, David Sylvian and The Radio Dept.

Hommybird’s playful yet bold music soars through the clouded mind with a refreshing honesty. It’s an exciting and cinematic ride to join him in.

Inspiration is drawn from both the traditional and futuristic realm , blending forward thinking electronics with the primal and organic.
Kontakt Group

Sort of a label from Brussels supporting conscious Rockstars and disillusioned DJ’s since 2017. Ever shape-shifting and ever broad in its musical taste, releases on the label have included everything from stone-cold Wave, Trap and Dutch Dream-Pop. Kontakt Group explores all ends of the musical spectrum with the label, a monthly show on Kiosk Radio and its events.
