Aaron Maine maakt pakkende slaapkamer-synthpop onder de naam Porches. Zijn hoge stem verrijkt de zwoele liedjes, die enerzijds heel kunnen relaxed zijn maar zich soms ook uitstekend lenen voor een goedgevulde dansvloer. Terwijl de eigen lo-fi indie van de band succesvol werd verrijkt met synthpop en alternatieve r&b op ‘Pool’ (2016) en ‘The House’ (2018), maakt voor hun laatste album ‘All Day Gentle Hold!’ (2021) het alternatieve rockgeluid van de jaren 90 zijn opwachting. Zelf zegt Aaron Maine het volgende over zijn muziek: “I’ve been making music as Porches since 2009. Porches can be a country song, a dance song, a punk song, a pop song or anything in between.
