1914 (UA) Nakkeknaekker (DK) Necrotesque

Wij hebben met 1914 een bijzondere band in huis gehaald. Vooral gezien de situatie in hun land van herkomst en het feit dat de band tekstueel het thema oorlog heeft.
**We hadden de band ook in april 2023 geboekt daar was veel interesse voor maar de band heeft destijds ivm de oorlog in hun thuisland Oekraine die hele tour toen moeten afblazen. Een te mooie herkansing dus wees erbij!! **

1914
1914 is een extreme black/ death metalband uit Lviv, Oekraine en werd opgericht in 2014. Het belangrijkste thema van deze band is de Eerste Wereldoorlog die zoals bekend van 1914 tot 1918 duurde. Vandaar de bandnaam. Muzikaal combineert de band doom, sludge, black and death metal.
In 2015 , bracht de band hun debuut album “Eschatology of War” uit. Drie jaar later verscheen het tweede album “The Blind Leading the Blind”. Het album kreeg enorm goede recensies in de pers. De band werd vervolgens opgepikt door Napalm Records die het derde album “Where Fear and Weapons Meet” uitbracht in 2021. Ook dit album werd zeer goed ontvangen en kwam in menig jaarlijstje terecht. Getourt werd er nauwelijks vanwege Corona en oorlog. Maar nu dus echt te zien in Willemeen.

NAKKEKNAEKKER is five young guys from Denmark, who decided to devote their lives to playing death metal. Their love for the genre shines through everything they do.
Although their age only spans between 16 and 20 years of age, this is in no way a setback for them. On the contrary. Their playing technique, experience on stage and songwriting will leave you with your mouth open, wondering how such young boys can sound like a band that has been on the road for 10 years. On the other hand, these guys can tour the world for the next 10 years and not be 30 yet!
The music has its roots in old-school death metal like Entombed and Morbid Angel, but the band is not afraid to incorporate modern elements as well. The raucous guitars, aggressive and a thunderous bass lay the soundtrack for the band's morbid lyrics.

NECROTESQUE
Necrotesque werd opgericht in het voorjaar van 2021. Arjan Jansen (o.a Into The Arcane, ex-Dead End) en Dave Blummel (Into The Arcane ) hadden de gemeenschappelijke drang om compromisloze Death Metal te spelen. Necrotesque is Death Metal pur sang. Met muzikanten die een gecombineerde achtergrond hebben in Death metal, Doom, Rock-‘n-Roll, Black Metal en Thrash, is het resultaat groovy en swingend. Geen overbodige poespas, gitaarsolo’s of breakdowns. Recht-toe-recht-aan kettingzaag-metal om op los te gaan in de moshpit. Met inspiratie geput uit bands als Grave, Bolt Thrower
