Cut & paste Art - Expo opening

It isn't very often that graphic artists work together, but Ruigoord collage makers Mrtn & Pytr have developed a very satisfying collaboration.

Both founding fathers of the collage collective "Cut & paste Art", they have produced a series of XL sized annalogue collages that is as intriguing as it is psychedelic.

Sometimes these are very much color-coordinated, sometimes they are in black & white. Always they astonish the viewer and at first glance, it's not clear that it is collage work at all.

Mrtn & Pytr have been working together since 2010, but these new XL collage series started during the lockdown period: the regular collage evenings at Pytr's Ruigoord atelier came to an end,

but Mrtn & Pytr started working on a bigger scale in a rather spontaneous way: after pre-selecting images they cover the big working table and move the images around until both are satisfied with the result.

There are no arguments about it, the gluing doesn't start until both agree on how the collage should look. In the process, they stimulate and elaborate on each other's ideas and silently correct each other's "mistakes".
