Join DARKMATTER Collective and Studio/K during Amsterdam Dance Event as they join forces with Rooted in Culture. On October 18th we will be hosting a filmscreening + talk (19:00-20:30), a social dance workshop (this page, 21:00-22:00) and a club night (22:00-03:00).
This social dance workshop will be guided by Sarada Sarita and Kim Tawjoeram (part of Native Moons), who share a dance background within the street and club dance styles. Through different social dance games, you will have tools to liberate your body and feel free on the dancefloor.
The culture is essential in the House and Club landscape. It’s rooted in Black culture, queerness, underground spaces, and liberated bodies. Rooted in Culture’s mission is to explore club culture through movement, education and inspiration. After two successful previous editions, this year Rooted in Culture will collaborate with DARKMATTER Collective & Studio/K, and focus on the Codes of the Dancefloor.
